K.A.A.O.(Kenya aid appeals), was created from three seperate organizations:
a. Volunteerism: formed by Abdalla Mbogo Rumba (Mombasa).
b. Kenyaidappeals: formed by Bill Lainsbury (U.K.)
c. BoxaBox appeals: formed by Pamella Oduor (Nairobi).
After working individually for several years they amalgamated all resources to create a blanket network across Kenya.
Aim:
To create self generating empowerment through education, skills training.
To improve school availability, materials and equipment.
To improve the immediate environment , activate irrigation, best usage, waste re-cycling processes.
To improve health and education on issues such as HIV aids.
To provide, through donations. a fair and planned distribution to the most needy.
To create small local self generating income businesses
Statement:
Kenya aid appeals is a totally non profit organization.
We do not advocate office renting ,or any items that require our donated funds to be diverted.
All members of Kenya aid appeals work voluntarily. No member is paid a wage or expenses.
All ethnic and religious backgrounds are equal.
Kenya aid appeals does not rely on any Kenyan government
funding or direction. No funds are released to third party.
